“The world is more beautiful on foot,” Brian said, as we undulated along a path around the shoulder of Mount Work, a 449-metre peak in the Gowlland Range, southern Vancouver Island. “It’s the UK Ramblers motto. Quite true, don’t you think?”
“Yes, I do,” I replied, crouching down to admire a delicate structure of ice shards that had formed on the path during the night. “You wouldn’t see these from a car.”
So does this mean you live in Victoria? Or were you visiting? I’ve been up Mount Work many, many times, in all kinds of weather… recalls your post about never hiking the same hike twice. 🙂

Living temporarily; I am here for the winter. No doubt you have an extensive list of wonderful hikes for the area. Do you have a favourite one?
